Residential project examples
Dorchester Prison
Callidus prepared and access strategy, Transport Assessment and Travel Plan on behalf of City and Country for the conversion of Dorchester Prison to residential use.  The proposals were granted planning consent on 2017 and work to develop the site will take place over a number of years. 
Land East of Coldharbour Lane
Working on behalf of Taylor Wimpey, Callidus prepared a Transport Assessment, Travel Plan, Flood and Drainage advice for this major urban extension site.  This consisted of 550 residential units and integrated with the West of England Bus Rapid Transit scheme.  Planning approval was granted and the site is being developed out.
Chalgrove, South Oxfordshire
Callidus prepared a Transport Assessment and Travel Plan in support of 200 units at this site in Oxfordshire.  A successful consultation exercise resulted in this site being the preferred site through the Neighbourhood Plan.  It was subsequently given outline planning consent.  Callidus is retained to prepare a Stopping Up order to facilitate the development.
Shepton Mallet prison
After working on this siye for the MoJ, Callidus were retained by the site's purchasers, City and Country.  Callidus advised on transport, access and travel planning.  The site was subject to an appeal in 2017 and the outcome is awaited.
Christ College, Cheltenham
Callidus prepared a Transport Statement, Travel Plan, Flood and Drainage advice for 50 residential units on the site of a former secondary school on behalf of the Clifton Diocese.  Callidus were also retained by the housebuilder that subsequently built the site. 
Easterton, Wiltshire
Transport Assessment, Waste Minimisation Strategy, Flood and Drainage advice for 50 residential units on the site of an old jam factory.  Access to the site was constrained along a narrow rural lane.   Callidus developed an access solution and off site highway works to the satisfaction of the Highway Authority.
Residential Development (43 Units) , Cheshire
Callidus provided an assessment of transport impact and highway access off an arterial road to enable the successful release of this residential site.
Homelands Farm, Bishops Cleeve (900 units)
Callidus has provided transport, highways, flood risk and drainage advice for this major residential site in Gloucestershire.  Our input to the project covered the pre-planning preparatory work, public inquiry representation and post consent design work.  Callidus were retained by the house builder to undertake the detailed design work (shown under construction opposite).
