Opportunities - Transport Planner
Salary Range: £22k - £28k depending on experience

Callidus Transport & Engineering supply infrastructure engineering planning services to the land development industry. We provide technical support for planning and related applications covering transportation, highways, drainage and flood risk, and ancillary issues.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Transport Planner / Engineer to join our Bath Office. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of interesting and challenging projects. The work will include supporting the Managing Director and the Transport Director on all aspects of the planning and infrastructure projects that the company is involved in.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
 
The office has a significant forward workload, which includes a range of projects including proposed commercial, industrial and residential developments.  Duties will include the preparation of Transport Assessments and Travel Plans, undertaking capacity analysis using ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG, calculating trip generation using TRICS and preparing traffic data spreadsheets using Excel. 
Qualifications / Experience:
 
• You will have a degree, ideally in Civil Engineering, Geography or equivalent and be proficient with numeracy. It would be beneficial to have some post graduate experience but not essential.
• You will be keen to gain experience in the preparation of Transport Assessments and Travel Plans (both work place and residential) taking account of current and emerging national and regional transport policies.
• Knowledge of junction design and junction analysis software (including TRICS ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG) would be beneficial, or a willingness to learn.
• You will have proven experience in project management and successful delivery of multiple projects, perhaps as part of your studies.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels both internally and externally, with an interest in developing Client relationships would be of benefit.
• The ability to write coherent and legible reports is critical.
A permanent appointment will be made on the basis of satisfactory completing a probationary period of 6 months.
